Mount Mansfield Snowboard Club Rail Jam

  A beautiful day for a rail jam!  The Mount Mansfield Snowboard Club held their second preseason rail jam at "The Stash" at Burton.   With trucked in snow from Stowe, Waterbury, and Cairns and lots of shoveling by parents the riders were able to practice some tricks for a few hours on Sunday afternoon.  Channel 3 news even showed up to do impromptu story on the snowboard club.  Here are some photos from the day.

What a hockey game!

The Garden was electric in Boston last night as the Bruins beat the Canadiens 8-6 in an old school style hockey match. I new it was going to be a good game but I had no idea it was going to be that good.

That was fun!

The Vermont Catamounts took control of first place in the America East Conference with a 65-42 win over the Stony Brook Sea Wolves at Patrick Gym on Sunday afternoon February 6, 2011 in Burlington, Vermont.

New Hampshire vs Vermont

Vermont hosted New Hampshire at Patrick Gymnasium on Monday night.  The Catamounts beat the Wildcats 63-49 to improve to 17-5 and 8-2 in the America East standings.

Indoor Track and Field

  Shooting indoor track and field at the University of Vermont is always a challenge!  The lighting in the track area of Gutterson is terrible, but you can still get some good images with a little patience.  This is one of my favorites from yesterday's meet.

Mountain Top Inn

Went to the beautiful weekend long wedding of Anthony and Meghan Sorrentino at the Mountain Top Inn in Chittenden, Vermont on January 7-9, 2011.  It was a perfect weekend with plenty of fresh snow, sleigh rides, sledding, family, friends and dancing all night.  This was the first winter wedding I have photographed and I would have to say it's probably the most fun I've had while working.  Thanks Meg and Anthony for an amazing weekend and making us feel like family!

Maine vs Vermont

In a battle for first place in the America East Conference, the Vermont Catamounts hosted the Maine Blackbears at Patrick Gymnasium on Wednesday night.  Maine looked good as they beat the Catamounts 72-58.

Senators vs Bruins

6 goals, three fights and two hat trick celebrations!  What a game.  The Boston Bruins beat up on the Ottawa Senators at The TD Bank Garden on Tuesday night in Boston, Massachusetts.  Patrice Bergeron scored 4 goals to record his first career hat trick and I didn't get a good photo of any of the goals.  Sometimes that's they way it goes... luck of the draw.

Harvard vs Vermont mens hockey

Here are some photos from the last game of the 2011 Catamount Cup between Harvard and Vermont.  Vermont won 3-1.  The Catamount Cup is a four team tournament held at Gutterson Fieldhouse the first weekend in the new year.  This years teams also included Ohio St. and Army.  This year Ohio St. took home the trophy.
