
It was a beautiful day in southern Vermont for the men's and women's halfpipe finals showdown in the 2012 Burton US Open at Stratton Mountain on Saturday...
It was the 30th anniversary of the open and you couldn't have asked for better weather, high's in the 50's for most of the week. The field on Saturday for the halfpipe competition featured the top riders in the world; Shaun White, Kelly Clark, Danny Davis, Hannah Teter, Danny Kass, Louie Vito, to name just a few.
The women started things off in the morning.

A scary moment during the women's finals, Hannah Teter hits the deck and goes down hard on her first run. She was knocked unconscious, and it seemed like forever before the ski patrol got there. She suffered a concussion in the fall and was taken down in the sled by ski patrol.
